If you are an Island Receational VIP member you need to check your statements. As you know VIP members are charged $100.00 to join to receive special sale prices, in turn you receive a credit for $110.00 to Island Recreational, however you must secure this with a credit or debit card to be charged annually.

Two years ago when we purchased our pool we received the VIP membership. This past October I was charged the $100.00 fee for VIP. I thought this was strange as I purchased my pool in the spring and was supposed to be charged annually. I figured I would just make sure I was not charged again, but much to my surprise in early February 0f 2007 I was charged another $100.00 for the same membership. I called Island Recreational and informed them of this charge that hit my account twice, they apologized and told me it was a computer error. OK, I accepted that as they offered to refund my money. Since then, I have called them numerous times in which I was assured the credit was in processing, but I would just have to wait. Each time I called they were very nice, however I have yet to get my credit. The last time I called I was told the credit was processed on February 26th, it is now March 15 and still no credit.

I'm sure I will get my credit eventually, however I should not have to wait so long for it.

So if this applies to you check your account and also be aware you do not have to pay for the VIP membership anymore, according to Island Recreational everyone will now receive the same sale price. So why charge my account to begin with?
