I'm getting sick and tired of how the tabloids, both TV and “news”papers keep finding ways to chastise Lindsay Lohan, over basically being a kid! What is she 20 years old? Give the girl some slack!

So what’s the latest scandal? A private email she sent to her attorneys (that was somehow leaked to the “Press”), about finding ways to repair her image. You know her image, the one that has been exploited on a daily basis for most of her life. The one that sells newspapers, and gets stupid people to watch garbage television shows like “Hard copy” and others…

Before the email “scandal” it was that fact that she has been secretly attending AA meetings. Some hack reporter from The New York Post has apparently been skulking around Los Angeles, trying to find out where she spends her time and followed her to a meeting. Well bully for the reporter –but guess what, that’s probably the biggest scoop of his or her career – for Lindsay, it was just another day.

So what if she’s in AA! Heck, the famous are usually applauded for joining AA, they’ll go on talk shows and brag that they’re a recovering alcoholic and they’ll be seen as courageous. Lindsay just tried to keep it Anonymous (like it’s supposed to be) but the press wouldn’t let her.

Both of these latest “scandals” seem to be about a young woman who’s trying to clean up both herself and her image. I don’t know Lindsay Lohan personally. I don’t know if she’s a nice person or if she’s spoiled or if she’s any of the things she gets called on an almost daily basis. I do know however, that growing up is tough enough when it’s done anonymously – I for one couldn’t have imagined doing it in front of the world – regardless of how much money I was being paid.

Our teenage years are a time when we’re supposed to be forgiven for doing and saying stupid things. We’re young, we’re inexperienced, our judgment is not the best –it’s called growing up!

Why not give Lindsay Lohan a chance to grow up –she might just surprise us all!
