Three Long Beach High School seniors were sent home yesterday for wearing a costume that the principal deemed was inappropraite. The girls were dressed as Capt Underpants a childrens cartoon superhero. The homemade outfits cosisted of flesh colored leotards and stockings, a pair of underpants and a cape.
Now, this was a school sanctioned event, where students were encouraged to dress up as superheros. The girls simply were a little more creative then the other students in making their choice.

The girls depicted this superhero _ who has battled, among other things, talking toilets and the infamous Professor Poopypants _ by wearing beige leotards and nude stockings under white briefs and red capes.
