Karts Indoor Raceway - GoCart Racing in Ronkonkoma
Updated September 26, 2006
|
Now, unlike the old fashioned go-carts (141 hits) I remember, these carts are electric. They’re quiet and don’t let off the toxic fumes that the gas versions do. They offer four point safety belts and remote control shutoff in case of a problem. Even the junior carts were pretty fast. Older kids, can race on the full size track, either alone or in a double cart . These carts are also electric and offer similar safety features.
Micro Racing
This was fun, kind of like slot car racing (126 hits) – only without any slots. Each racer controls their car from the sidelines, the cars can go anywhere on the track – forward or reverse. This was a lot of fun as the kids didn’t have to worry so much about their speed – like you have to do with slot car racing – they simply had to steer around other cars and stay out of accidents.
The Game Room
Pretty typical game room consisting of about fifteen games; the usual racing games and shoot-em ups. Most of the games take two to four tokens – about average.
Snack Bar
At the Snack Bar, called the “Pit Stop (53 hits) Cafe”, you’ll find the usual hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza and ice cream. Nothing fancy but no worse then any other snack bar geared for kids.
The Cost
We paid $17 per child which gave us five races. We also took advantage of their lunch special - $6 gets you either a hot dog or a slice of pizza, a fountain drink, ice cream and one Micro Track race. Of course the game room was separate; tokens are the usual quarter each.

I recently contacted karts to inquire about having a Birthday Party for my son turning 8-I was quoted prices that seemed a little expensive for a party of 10- seems like a great idea but a bit pricey!!!

You have to be kidding me with the prices for a party at this place, over $40 per child for two times around a race track and a basic lunch, yeh right!!!

The parties are unbelievable! I had my son's party there and hardly had to lift a finger! This is no wham-bam party.
The kids got to race, eat, they got pictures, played video games and did remote control car racing too! The party went smoothly and even my "big" kid raced.
It was a blast and everyone walked out with a smile.
The hostesses and track personell were very attentive, and my son still talks about how much fun he had.
Was it pricey? yes
Was it worth every penny? absolutely!
This was truley a special day.

wow i just had my 8 yr olds party there .she had about 15 friends. first of all its not 2 times around the junior track its about 12 to 14 laps per race and my daughter was able to go on about 6 times {well worth it }food was good. party lasted 2 hrs. all the dads raced on the big track {and some moms} but the kids had a blast. clean, friendly service ,but if your going to book a party leave yourself about two months. i didn't and could'nt get the date i wanted…..i had our last party at pet den almost just as expensive………but here u get what u pay for

i've been to this racetrack many times. it is a very fun place to hangout. the prices are high but it is very fun. the last time i went there was january 5th and it was fun until the last few races. i understand that the people's jobs are to make sure that the go-karts don't get banged up but when you pay 40.00 for per person for 5 races each you expect to get what you paid for, not have the people forget to set the go karts at a certain speed and have you racing at 5 miles per hour until the last lap. so do i enjoy myself when i go there? yes! but i think that "THE BOSS" should be a little bit considerate.
